The Clay County Sheriff’s Office Pipes and Drums (CCSO P&D) is a Highland Bagpipe band based in Clay County, Florida. The band was formed in May 2009 from a vision of Sheriff Rick Beseler and Art Tenney, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office Department Piper. CCSO P&D is a 501(C)(3) non-profit charity organization under the sponsorship of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and accepts donations which are deductible for tax purposes.

Bagpipe bands have a rich heritage and have long been associated with the police, fire departments and military groups throughout the world. CCSO P&D’s goal is to encourage and support Scottish and Irish culture in the community by performing in area events, as well as providing instruction for beginning students and accomplished pipers. The band is open for new members by providing the opportunity for anyone in Clay County and the surrounding area to learn to play either the bagpipes or the drums. Lessons are free-of-charge to anyone who is willing to commit the time and self-discipline to learn. The band meets for rehearsal every Thursday from 6:30pm – 9:00pm at the Orange Park Presbyterian Church located at 1905 Park Avenue, Orange Park, Florida.

CCSO Pipes and Drums is a community based band and  is committed to playing the finest in traditional Scottish and Irish music for both private and public audiences. The band is the host band for the Northeast Florida Scottish Games and Festival and participates in many community events, church services, and parades. We are associated with other non-profit organizations that are affiliated with the military such as Honor Air, Segway for Veterans, and the Wounded Warrior Project and perform at many of their events
